Coming Soon: The Scarred King: Book III – Proving

I’m updating here for those of you who have read the first two books and may be wondering if the 3rd is ever coming. It’s been a much longer journey than I had hoped, but I want to assure you all, it IS happening!

When we last saw Bowmark and Scolla they were trapped in a desolate valley full of monsters, and at each other’s throats. I can’t leave them that way!

One of the things that has been taking me so long is that I wasn’t happy with the technical quality of the first two books. So I hired a very skilled editor and she’s been doing an amazing job polishing the prose, flow, and bringing everything together beautifully. Some of the issues she found in the third book required some additions, fixes and clarifications to the first two. (This means new editions for Books 1 & 2 when the 3rd releases) And while that created a lot of work, I’m very excited about how much better the story is as a result. Quality is a very high priority for me, because my hope is to spin these stories into a TV series at some point.

I’ve also been working very hard on the illustrations, maps and cover. Which brings me to a topic about the future of the Tales From Talifar franchise. I’ve decided that the pace of output for these books is far too long, and there’s an easy solution to this. I need to cut way, WAY back on the number of illustrations for now. (At least as long as I’m the only artist working on the series) We have another ten books written and waiting to get out there! So the message I want to leave you with is this… Our first trilogy is taking far to long to produce, but I’ve got a plan to increase that output dramatically. I hope you’ll come along for the ride as we explore so many new, captivating characters and stories in the world of Talifar!
