Here are some proof-of-concept tests I did to work out how I want The Cutscene Subversion Project to look and feel.  These are just tests, NOT indicative of the the final video series, which will actually have a flow and a point and stuff.  

 

The Cutscene Subversion Project is Josh Foreman’s attempt to influence his industry (videogames) in a positive way.  The basic message is that the medium of videogames will find its own voice and power only when it’s ready to cast aside the trappings of linear edited stories delivered in movie-like cutscenes. 

The goal is to facilitate better debate on the topic than there historically has been.  To do this, we examine the concepts behind the words that get bandied about in comment section flamewars.

Currently in production, the final project will kick off with a 6 part video mini-series on YouTube, featuring costumes, effects, stunts, special industry guests and lots of bad jokes and references to old memes.
